The way I worked around the controls was instead of hold R2 and touching the stick to change directions. I just held on to the R2 trigger regardless and move the left stick like it was GTA, RE series, etc to move the character. After about 15min I forgot I was holding the R2 trigger and felt like it was just any other 3rd person control scheme.

Back on topic: The 1st quarter of 2010 should be pretty interesting for NPDs; especially with all to big hitters coming early for both the 360 and Ps3 (ME2, GOW3, Heavy, etc.)

it's like you are reading my mind. Great selection of old school classics. I mean MGS and such are a given; but DRIVER, WINBACK, DINO CRISIS, FIGHTING FORCE; and etc. are one my fondest memories of gaming as a pre-teen/teen. I would gladly pay present full retail prices for anyone one of those. Just for the visual up grade and that's it.

Yes, bring on Shenmue 3 (or release all 17 chapters as one retail game). If they ever release another Shenmue game I would give a crap what system it was on. In fact, I wouldn't even think twice about dropping money for 2 systems to just get it. Acutally I would by a new system, trade it in, and buy the exact same system again if it meant a another Shenmue game in my possession.

I agree with comment, and like u I am greatly looking forward to the whole "Heavy Rain experience". But I see what some people are coming from and when I say some people I mean the casuals mostly.
To them they see it as just QTE b/c those are the only parts that has been shown to them. I know there is more to it like exploring/ talking to NPC/ etc. But to the Uncharted/God of War/Ratchet and other adventure Fans, they need more then that. I for one LOVED the Shenm...
It been said from other sites (comment sections) that the 360 is improved significantly if it is installed to the HD. At which case, it looks on par to the PS3 verison (due to Bioware making the game optimized for installation).
and I remember does discussions years ago as well. The first preview trailer for Tekken 6 was CG, it came out almost a year before the ps3 did. The CG was a gross misrepresentation of the final product in my opinion. If I can find the video I'll get a link up,( it was pretty cool, it was Jin doing Katas).
I was the one who gave u a disagree, and its because of your Shemue 2 comment. That game, the franchise for that matter (if you call two games and a comic strip a franchise), is one of my all time favorites. But the SHENMUE 2 ending was horrible for two reasons:
One-
It was a cliff hanger, a big 'beeping' cliff hanger.
Two-
The game has been on hiatus since that ending, since 2002 I think, so roughly a decade. A whole decade of wond...
